I’m not going to lie, when I saw Disney on Ice was coming by us I knew we had to go. It wasn’t even my boys begging to go, it was ME! 🙂 We went a few years ago, before Harbor was even born and it was great, so this was a no brainer.
Plus Coco was making his debut. Count us in. That’s currently on repeat at our house.
I will say if you’ve never been, ordering tickets might be a bit intimidating… but there isn’t a bad seat. Characters are not only on the ice. Make sure to move around the entire arena. Don’t think about it like concert seating… Your kids will get a great view from pretty much any seat.
We got there in enough time to walk around and check out all of the photo opportunities and grab some snacks. You know, pretzels and of course cotton candy. Can’t pass that up. It came with a Mickey Ear crown too! When we were sitting outside H spotted this. I spotted this. We all spotted this. I was hoping they were selling it inside because I would have made a b-line for it. Nope. I even asked around for it.
I’m pretty sure Santa knows that this is a must this year…
I knew my six-year-old was going to enjoy the show but didn’t know how my two-year-old would react. This was his first BIG venue. It didn’t bother him at all. He was totally into it. No hesitation.
He HATES big characters getting close to him and will completely freak out. He was fine with Disney characters and was asking for other characters he didn’t see. Yes, Daisy was missing. Donald was there. Try explaining that to a two-year-old.
I don’t know why I still get impressed. Disney knows how to do it all. Everything. As an adult, I was even in awe at certain points and was just as entertained as my kids.
A lot of characters were there. Moana, Elsa, and Ana, Toy Story, Belle and Ariel…to name a few.
But let’s take a moment to pause for the Coco portion of the show. Our absolute favorite. I don’t know if it’s because we are closer to Day of the Dead, the neon from the black light or just because it was different… but it was AWESOME. They didn’t overlook one detail.
Nom, Nom, Nom.
If you get a chance to go, make sure to post #disneyonice and look for yourself during intermission. I thought my kids were going to jump out of their skin when they saw this. I mean I was flipping out too!
At the end of the show, everyone comes out. Even characters you didn’t see the rest of the show. Make sure to look around the entire arena because they will come from everywhere. Look for your favorites coming down the aisles.
What was your favorite part of Disney on Ice Search Party? I can’t wait to take the boys again next year.
