I have no souvenirs from Kennywood… and here’s why…

Have you ever heard of Kennywood? If you know anyone from Pennsylvania you probably have. It is part of so many kids childhoods, including my husband’s and his entire family.

His entire family goes to Kennywood every summer, and every Christmas. It is just something people from the Burgh do. It is a staple there. I will admit, I am a bit jealous we haven’t been there for Christmas yet. Maybe in a few years. Continue reading “I have no souvenirs from Kennywood… and here’s why…”

Summertime Favorite – Jello 123

I was shocked when I posted a poll on Instagram about Jello 123 and most people had no idea what I was talking about. How is this even possible? One of my favorite memories was spending a full day outside soaking in the summer sun, coming in for dinner and knowing that dessert was Jello 123.

Apparently they stopped making in in the mid 90’s… Booooo

Summer Smoothie Bowls – Self Care for Mom

I’m a mom. You know what that means? It means somewhere along the way I have stopped putting myself first. It happens. I feel like it happens to anyone who starts chasing after tiny feet. We are more consumed with the health and wellness than ours. That is the definition of MOM.

Parenting With Mindfulness – Start Slow

Being a parent is hard. But honestly being a kid these days isn’t a walk in in the park. There are a million different things headed their way and as a parent, that scares me to death.

What you will need:  Baking Soda, Vinegar, Dish Soap and food coloring (that is optional).

Cool Off This Summer With Frozen Paint

It’s hot. It’s summer. And unlike Olaf… I’m not a fan. Weird that I live in South Florida right?

While it is hot, I will say most of the evenings have been beautiful and I do love spending time in the backyard with the boys. One of our major projects this year has been to redo the backyard and little by little it is becoming one of my favorite parts of the house. Continue reading “Cool Off This Summer With Frozen Paint”

5 Things To Know Before Heading to The Pittsburgh Zoo

No matter what city we travel to, I always want to see what activities there are for the family. We happened to be in Pittsburgh last month and the weather was beautiful for a few days we were there.
