I headed to The Dollar Tree to see what summer goodies they had, knowing that I wanted to make some sort of 4th of July wreaths. When I saw the display of flip flops, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Continue reading “Dollar Tree 4th of July Flip Flop Wreaths”
Can you believe summer is here? The first day has come and gone and now I’m sure your kids are bored. I mean it has been a whole day. Don’t give in to screen time just yet! I promise that will come later on before school starts and you’re just tired. Continue reading “5 Ways to Keep Your Kids Busy This Summer”
It’s hot. It’s summer. And unlike Olaf… I’m not a fan. Weird that I live in South Florida right?
While it is hot, I will say most of the evenings have been beautiful and I do love spending time in the backyard with the boys. One of our major projects this year has been to redo the backyard and little by little it is becoming one of my favorite parts of the house. Continue reading “Cool Off This Summer With Frozen Paint”
No matter what city we travel to, I always want to see what activities there are for the family. We happened to be in Pittsburgh last month and the weather was beautiful for a few days we were there. When I say beautiful I mean not crazy hot like South Florida. I was able to wear SLEEVES!!! Do you know how excited that makes me?
Every year around the same time Publix (our grocery store in Florida) comes out with their Key Lime Pie commercials. I was never really a fan of Key Lime Pie simply because I never had it around as a kid. I think it just didn’t exist in my world until I moved to South Florida.
Anytime I hear “Farmhouse” I get nervous I’m about to spend too much money on something that looks old. Most of the time it’s a reproduction of something I’m fairly certain my grandparents had.
I don’t care how old you are bubbles are awesome. Toddlers can’t get enough of them and I guarantee every time a bubble floats carelessly by any adults head they stop and take notice.
There is something completely magical about how they just float in the wind and just like that…. POP.
Meatless Monday isn’t really a thing around here. Every day is meatless for me. 🙂 But even with that sometimes I get into a rut with my meatless selections. I do love eggplant though. So when our awesome across the street neighbor brought over these eggplants I knew I wanted to use them in tacos. Continue reading “Eggplant Street Tacos – Meatless Monday”
As an educator and parenting blogger – I get asked all the time from other parents, “How can I help my kids at home?”
Parents… I promise, it’s not as hard as it sounds. Play. Read. Enjoy your evenings together. Don’t stress about it, and find ways to simply have fun. Find what your kids are interested in and use it to your advantage.
Here are my favorites this month that can help celebrate small moments as well as help support what is happening in the classroom.
So if you were to ask me last month about any Easter crafts I was working on, I could have shown you a list of things I had planned. Honestly there were a few more things on that list that I just didn’t get to do.
Earlier this week we received the call we had been dreading for Billiam’s mom… and just like that we were on our way to Pittsburgh.
All of the crafts I have sitting in my office and plans for spring will be there when we get back. I’m actually sitting in a hotel room somewhere in South Carolina right now, trying to get back to my to do list before I fall too far behind.
