Kids can do chores. (Insert gasp here…)
Yes! They are capable of doing much more than most parents expect these days.
I remember when I was in Kindergarten doing chores. You probably did too.
Setting the table for dinner. Clearing the plates after dinner. Dusting the living room shelves. I always loved that one. Continue reading “Three Easy Ways To Have Your Kids Help Around the House”
The first week of vacation was great right? Tons to do around the house, Christmas gifts to play with… family in town. But now your kids are marching around the house blowing on a $.25 whistle their grandmother gave them and screaming about how the other one is looking at them. No? Only me? Yeah, I didn’t think so…
This mama is tired and needs something for my kids to do to keep them busy and my house less of a hazard zone. You too? Continue reading “Winter Zoo Camp – Palm Beach Zoo”
I wasn’t always a Disney expert. I’m still not…but I get asked a lot what parents and families can do at Disney that doesn’t cost too much. My first answer is Disney Springs.
It is an awesome go-to when you are in Orlando for so many reasons.
If you don’t have a full day for the parks, or you don’t want to purchase a ticket but still want to enjoy a bit of the magic, head to Disney Springs. Sometimes I still slip up and call it Downtown Disney, it’s OK the locals know what you mean. Continue reading “International Soda Flight- Disney Springs”
Years ago, before I even had the boys I believe…I bought a 4 pack of Disney character ornaments. I loved them. I still love them. But I remember when I paid for them thinking, ‘am I really buying ornaments that are $20 each’.
You know why I did it??? Because back then I didn’t have little hands that could in a mere 2 seconds make them come crashing to the floor. Continue reading “Super Simple Mickey Inspired Ornaments”
Do you have slime rules in your house? Yes. Rules about slime. I do.
Slime stays in the kitchen or the bathroom. That’s it.
After I found slime mashed into pillows and the mattress…it was time to draw the line. That being said, we still make slime. I have a whole collection of slime supplies in my garage. It’s such an easy activity to do with your kids, and celebrate some of the fun of the holidays. Continue reading “The Most Wonderful SLIME of the Year”
As my boys are getting older, I love finding new experiences to expose them too. It’s probably one of my favorite things. To see the excitement and wonder in their eyes at even the smallest things.
Up until now, I have been hesitant to take them to anything “stage” related. I didn’t think they were ready. Maybe I wasn’t ready to take them. How long can they sit quietly? What if they can’t see what’s happening? How many bathroom trips will we need to take? So many questions. Continue reading “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer – The Musical”
It’s been a while since I’ve made any “homemade” holiday gifts. I used to do it much more than I do now. I feel like once Halloween hits the rest of the year end months rush by. I have to schedule days where I actually don’t do anything but work on my to-do list.
Today was a day like that. I came up with a list of three projects I wanted to tackle. This hand scrub being one of them. I had all of the supplies in my cabinet already, besides the glycerin so it kills two birds with one stone. Continue reading “Peppermint Holiday Hand Scrub”
Florida is hot. Plain and simple. Just hot. We don’t have seasons, we have a few days that may try to pass as a “cool” front.
I miss seasons. I need seasons. I need cold. Enter Gaylord Palms. Continue reading “Ice at Gaylord Palms”
See my WPTV Holiday Card Segment here…
Halloween is over, and poor Thanksgiving. It gets no love these days. It’s almost like the stores and retailers have forgotten all about that one. I always used Thanksgiving as a holiday card finish line. I know that if I don’t have my holiday cards done and sent out by Thanksgiving, there is a 98% chance they won’t get done. Continue reading “Stand Out Holiday Cards”
Have you ever been to the Daytona Turkey Run?
Although I haven’t heard anything about an actual Turkey… gobble gobble… once you eat your ToFurkey this is something perfect to do with your family. Continue reading “Giveaway — Daytona Turkey Run”
