Conversation Heart Chocolate Cookies

Do you ever wake up one morning and have absolutely no idea it was supposed to rain all day? I even looked at other places around the state to go. 75% of Florida was covered in water, so staying in and working around the house seemed like the thing to do.

Winter Zoo Camp – Palm Beach Zoo

The first week of vacation was great right? Tons to do around the house, Christmas gifts to play with… family in town. But now your kids are marching around the house blowing on a $.25 whistle their grandmother gave them and screaming about how the other one is looking at them. No? Only me? Yeah, I didn’t think so…

This mama is tired and needs something for my kids to do to keep them busy and my house less of a hazard zone. You too? Continue reading “Winter Zoo Camp – Palm Beach Zoo”

Super Simple Mickey Inspired Ornaments

Years ago, before I even had the boys I believe…I bought a 4 pack of Disney character ornaments. I loved them. I still love them. But I remember when I paid for them thinking, ‘am I really buying ornaments that are $20 each’.

You know why I did it??? Because back then I didn’t have little hands that could in a mere 2 seconds make them come crashing to the floor. Continue reading “Super Simple Mickey Inspired Ornaments”

The Most Wonderful SLIME of the Year

Do you have slime rules in your house? Yes. Rules about slime. I do.

Slime stays in the kitchen or the bathroom. That’s it.

After I found slime mashed into pillows and the mattress…it was time to draw the line. That being said, we still make slime. I have a whole collection of slime supplies in my garage. It’s such an easy activity to do with your kids, and celebrate some of the fun of the holidays. Continue reading “The Most Wonderful SLIME of the Year”

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer – The Musical

As my boys are getting older, I love finding new experiences to expose them too. It’s probably one of my favorite things. To see the excitement and wonder in their eyes at even the smallest things.

Up until now, I have been hesitant to take them to anything “stage” related. I didn’t think they were ready. Maybe I wasn’t ready to take them. How long can they sit quietly? What if they can’t see what’s happening? How many bathroom trips will we need to take? So many questions. Continue reading “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer – The Musical”

Peppermint Holiday Hand Scrub

It’s been a while since I’ve made any “homemade” holiday gifts. I used to do it much more than I do now. I feel like once Halloween hits the rest of the year end months rush by. I have to schedule days where I actually don’t do anything but work on my to-do list.

Today was a day like that. I came up with a list of three projects I wanted to tackle. This hand scrub being one of them. I had all of the supplies in my cabinet already, besides the glycerin so it kills two birds with one stone. Continue reading “Peppermint Holiday Hand Scrub”

Candy Cookies – Make These Tonight

With as much as I am a sugar addict… I know when there is too much in my house. I also know I have to get it out as quickly as possible.

This candy has become a problem.

The kids ask for it every day, I eat it every day… and somehow it hasn’t made a dent in it. I’m swimming in sugary candy goodness. It’s a love-hate relationship. Continue reading “Candy Cookies – Make These Tonight”

How We Halloween

I’ll be completely transparent with you. I start planning for Halloween as soon as 4th of July passes. I know for some that is way too early to start thinking about the end of October, but for me it can’t come soon enough.

I’m totally in love with all things fall. It’s absolutely my favorite time of year. The tricky thing is I live in South Florida. It is still pretty warm considering the year is coming to an end. On good days we drop out of the 90’s. Continue reading “How We Halloween”
